Job Description

AFC Land & Development Bank, a subsidiary of AFC Holdings seeks to recruit a Head of Finance & Administration. Reporting to the Director Finance, Treasury & Administration, the successful candidate will be responsible for superintending over all financial activities of the Bank, including planning, budgeting, forecasting, and ensuring compliance with regulations while also safeguarding Bank assets and driving the financial strategy.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Provide strategic direction and leadership for all financial operations, accounting, budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning.
• Develop and manage the Bank's financial plans, budgets, and forecasts, ensuring alignment with the Bank's overall strategic goals to ensure optimum resource allocation within the Land & Development Bank.
• Oversee the Bank's cash flow, investments, and other financial assets to optimize returns and minimize risk.
& Perform risk management through analysis of company liabilities and investments and evaluate and manage capital structure and fundraising initiatives.
© Identify, assess, and manage financial risks, including credit risk, market risk, and operational risk.
• Ensure the Bank complies with all applicable financial regulations and reporting requirements.
• Maintain effective communication and relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including regulators, auditors, and investors ensure compliance, and implement recommendations for financial improvements. a Lead and develop the finance team, providing guidance, coaching, and mentorship.
© Negotiate loans, lines of credit, and other financial transactions.
G Utilize cost accounting principles to analyse and manage the Bank's expenses.
& Oversee and manage all administrative functions within the Bank, including but not limited to, office services, facilities management, and logistics.
• Maintaining and improving administrative processes and procedures to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
• Ensure smooth and efficient operations, resource management, and compliance with policies and procedure to facilitate all business operations.
• Oversee the preparation and maintenance of all administrative records and reports.

Qualifications and Experience

Qualifications and Experience
Degree in Finance, Accounting or a related field.
Chartered Accountant (CA) Z or a full professional accounting qualification such as ACCA, CIS, CIMA.
Post Graduate Degree in Finance, Business Commerce, or Accounting will be an added advantage.
6 Five (5) or more years of experience in executive leadership roles.
• Competencies in IFRS provisions & compliance, Strategic & financial planning, budgeting and monitoring thereof.
Excellent leadership skills, with steadfast resolve and personal integrity.
• Exceptional verbal, written, and visual communication skills.
Understanding of advanced accounting, regulatory issues, and tax planning.
• Working knowledge of how to raise capital outside traditional lines of credit.
