Job Description
Tsapo Group of Companies is a fast-growing organisation in the motor industry and is seeking to employ the services of a Group Technical Manager (Head of Workshops) based in Harare.
Duties and Responsibilities
1. Driving workshop strategy.
2. Coordinating and overseeing all the workshop activities within the Group in line with the Group's vision and objectives.
2. Developing and implementing a workshop plan for the group.
3. Developing and maintaining workshop standard operating procedures and ensuring adherence to set standards.
4. Developing departmental KPIs and KRAs for the group.
5. Ensuring compliance with HSQE standards and legislation within the workshops.
6. Coordinating and integrating workshop activities with other functional areas within the group.
7. Reporting on workshop performance for the group to the board.
8. Setting quality standards and ensuring there is continuous improvement on service delivery.
9. Designing and regularly updating a critical spares list across the group.
Qualifications and Experience
1. A Degree/Higher National Diploma in a Technical field from a reputable institution.
2. Class 1 Journeyman (Diesel Plant Fitting/Motor Mechanics/Auto Electrician).
3. At least 5 years' experience in a similar management role.
4. A clean class 4 drivers' licence is a must.
5. Goal driven individual with excellent problem-solving skills.
6. Team leader who pays attention to detail.
7. Computer Literate with knowledge of Microsoft Packages and Motadata.
