Job Description

Applications are invited from the suitably qualified and experienced personnel to fill in the vacancies that have arisen within the Commission.

Job Title: Graduate trainee - Research & PR (1)
Unit: Research and Public Relations
Reporting to: Senior Research Officer

Duties and Responsibilities

Duties and Responsibilities
• Providing research assistance to the Senior Research Officer.
• Writing and compiling of articles for the Commission's newsletter.
• Organizing meetings with stakeholders.
• Representing the Commission at exhibitions and trade fairs.
• Working with the Public Relations Officer on the Commission's branding and corporate social responsibility activities.
• Assisting other Divisions with their research requests as and when required
• Conducting any other duties assigned from time to time

Qualifications and Experience

Qualifications and Requirements
• A minimum of 5 O' Levels including Mathematics and English
• A recent graduate from a recognized University and who is not more than 27 years old
• Honors Degree in Economics
• Knowledge of statistical tools such as STATA/E-Views/SPSS.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint); familiarity with data analysis tools is an advantage.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Eagerness to learn, adapt, and contribute to execution of the Commissions' mandate.
• A background of competition economics will be an added advantage.
