Job Description
Applications are invited from suitably qualified persons for the above vacant position at the Head Office.
Reporting directly to Manager: Communications, the incumbent will be responsible, among other things, for:
JOB PURPOSE
• To come up with creative and interactive digital and print materials for all our platforms.
Duties and Responsibilities
JOB FUNCTION
1. In line with our brand guidelines, plan and implement the creation and production of creative content, ensuring a high international standard.
2. Prepare design brief for all assigned materials.
3. Illustrates concept by designing rough layout of art and copy regarding arrangement, size, type size and style, and related aesthetic concepts.
4. Implement the departmental creative direction and production of all graphic outputs and ensure quality control measures that enhance the Organisation’s visibility.
5. Produce animated content and videos, including but not limited to infographics, promotional videos, jingles, presentations.
6. Produce creative and modern content for print media, including but not limited to newsletters, adverts, posters, annual reports, business cards, banners.
7. Transform complex data sets into visually exciting and interactive content for desktop, tablet, and mobile use.
8. Build user interface, visualizations and graphics for web, blogs, social media, applications, and other digital outputs.
9. Explore and present conceptual design ideas for a cohesive, coherent, and creative branding of the relevant projects, forums, meetings, and events incorporating the Organisation’s visual identity elements.
10.Capture stunning images and videos for internal use.
11.Archive photographic images and maintain database.
12.Maintain and manage photography/videography equipment.
Qualifications and Experience
REQUIREMENTS FOR THIS JOB:
• Working towards at least a diploma in graphic design, animation or equivalent from a reputable learning institution
• Must have portfolio of work examples in a variety of medium (printed materials, advertisements, graphics, multimedia, etc.)
• Fully proficient computer skills and use of relevant base software and other applications
(Adobe Creative Cloud, QuarkXPress, Corel Draw, etc)
• Basic knowledge of other programs like Microsoft suite, Internet, Java, CSS, film or video editing, web page design
• Ability to think creatively to produce stunning visual communication tools
• Basic photography and videography skills
• Specific background in broad design experience in all types of medium
• Ability to work in a high volume, fast paced environment and be able to adapt to constantly shifting deadlines and priorities
• Ability work successfully under pressure and tight time constraints
• Ability to be a team player by exhibiting positive responses to tight deadlines, constant change and shifting priorities
