Applications are invited for a Graduate Intern Research Administration & Compliance Intern to work in the Research Administration & Compliance Department at Zvitambo

Zvitambo Institute for Maternal and Child Health Research is an internationally recognised multidisciplinary public health research institute with the mission of helping children survive and thrive through research. We work in partnership with the Ministry of Health and Child Care to conduct research and provide technical support and education to reduce the burden of malnutrition and infectious disease and give children a good start in life. Zvitambo is registered as a non-profit company and operates from a head office in Harare and a field site in Shurugwi

Job Description
Under the direct supervision of the Research Administration & Compliance Manager, the Graduate Intern will support the review and filing of research documents for on-going research studies.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Proof-reading translations
• Maintaining Investigators’ and Site files
• Filing and archiving study documents
• Submission and collection of research files to, and from the Institutional Review Boards (IRBs)
• Supporting with other research and administrative tasks like document scanning and filing as directed by the Departmental Manager

Qualifications and Experience

• The candidate must possess a Bachelor’s degree in the Social Sciences, Administration or Arts

Required competencies
• Excellent Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook)
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Organised and able to meet deadlines
• At least one year experience in an administrative role within a research organisation
