Graduate Intern – Investment Department
Duties and Responsibilities
• Receipt, documentation filing, and acknowledgement of facility applications and communication from clients or partners.
• Analyse and Evaluate loan applications eligibility and compliance with documentation requirements, as well as explaining deficiencies to applicants.
• Manage and supervise all credit and loans operational process to ensure compliance with the Credit and Loans operational policy and procedures manual.
• Prepare Periodic, Weekly and Monthly Investment Portfolio Reports.
• Prepare, schedule and participate in project site visits meetings with applicant and beneficiaries to understand projects before and after granting of facilities.
• Compile and document project or site visit reports for review and consideration.
• Assist in preparation of business development proposals write ups and presentations.
• Participates in the development of departmental work plans & budgets.
• Assists the Management team in researching industry trends, identifying potential markets, and evaluating partner opportunities
• Participate in training sessions and workshops to enhance knowledge of access to finance best practices
• Research funding priorities and specific entry points for new funding relationships across a range of financiers (donors, foundations and private sector)
• Search funding opportunities/ open calls for proposals.
• Assist in maintaining a database of potential funders and their programs
• Assist with the drafting of concept notes and funding proposals
• Assist with drafting case studies and impact stories.
Education and Experience
• Possess a degree in Agricultural Economics, Development Finance, Banking and Finance, Economics and Finance, Project Management or equivalent.
• Strong research and writing skills
• Attention to detail and ability to organize and manage multiple tasks.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Fluent in English (both oral and written)
• Experience working in development and financial services contexts in Zimbabwe
• At least 1 years' experience in a similar position and environment.
• Should demonstrate strong financial analytical skills and solid understanding of Agribusiness, financial services regulations and related legislation.
• Willing to work under pressure to meet strict deadlines.
• Clean Class 4 Driver’s Licence
