Applications are invited from suitably qualified and experienced persons for the below mentioned vacancy which has arisen in a farm in the Botswana.
Duties and Responsibilities
Duties & Responsibilities
• Ensure that the farm is profitable and meets projected financial targets.
• Develops a farm plan aiming at the best use of resources so as to achieve high productivity.
• Responsible for the proper implementation of the farm plan and organizing daily tam, operations.
• Overseeing the properfeeding and nutrition of all livestock
• Oversee animal health & Welfare, maintaining close liaisons with vets
• Regular monitoring of live weight gain
• Ensure maintenance and repair of farm buildings , machinery and equipment
• Ensure that farm activities comply with government regulations
• Any other duties as delegated from time to time.
Qualifications and Experience
• Diploma/ Degree in animal husbandry or related field.
• Good command of English language ( reading / writing / speaking )
• A minimum of 5 years experience working with livestock, with 3 years in supervisory position
• A valid passport.
• A clean class 4 driver's license will be an added advantage
• Must have strong stockmanship.
