Job Description

As a Developer, you will play a critical role in the development and enhancement of our various online marketplace platforms. You will be instrumental in designing, building, and maintaining our software solutions, ensuring they meet high standards of quality and efficiency.

Duties and Responsibilities

Understands the requirements of projects, tasks and bugs, and develops solutions from concept to launch, including submissions and revisions to and from the Lead and Product Owner.
Runs browser, and device compatibility tests and ensures that UX and SEO best practices are adhered to and fully implemented.
Runs performance benchmarking tests to make sure that the website/web applications are highly optimized, achieving fast page load times even under heavy traffic.
Implements security patches, upgrades, and security hardening to prevent exploits, in line with industry best practices.
Writes clean and performant code that follows the appropriate coding standards and includes clear documentation to allow for easy maintenance and handover
Coordinates with Lead to provide a time estimate from wireframe or task
For each project, research best practices, new technology, products and services and recommends at least 2 specific findings to the Lead for approval
Work closely with the tech lead, product managers, and other developers to achieve business goals.
Teamwork with other developers, fostering a culture of learning and growth.
Ensure the implementation of best practices in coding standards, security, and data protection.
Conduct code reviews and contribute to the maintenance of high-quality documentation.

Qualifications and Experience

Bachelor’s in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in software development, ideally with a strong background in e-commerce or online marketplace platforms.
Proficiency in both front-end and back-end development using C# .NET, SQL, Javascript, HTML and CSS.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a detail-oriented mindset.
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
