Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled, experienced and hands-on Forklift & Telehandler Mechanic to diagnose, service, maintain and repair our fleet of diesel, electric and gas-powered forklifts and telehandlers. The successful candidate must demonstrate exceptional fault-finding abilities, strong knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic and electrical systems, and the ability to minimise equipment downtime while maintaining high operational and safety standards.
Duties and Responsibilities
• Diagnose, service, maintain, and repair forklifts.
• Identify mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and other equipment faults within the employee's competence.
• Conduct preventive maintenance and equipment inspections.
• Complete service reports, job cards, and repair records.
• Ensure all repairs comply with safety and operational standards.
Qualifications and Experience
• Relevant mechanical trade qualification or recognised technical training (Class 1 Mechanic)
• At least 5 years practical experience repairing and maintaining forklifts.
• Knowledge of forklift hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical systems.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
