Job Description
We are looking for an experienced forklift driver who will be doing warehouse work thus lifting, wrapping and palletizing to fill in a position that has arisen in our organization. To qualify in this role, you should prove to us that you have the ability to check, pick and load products accurately on or off trailers. Excellent practical skills, good communication skills, understanding simple arithmetic and the ability to pull product off of production line and properly stock merchandise in the warehouse. Excellent time management skills are also essential, as you might be needed early at work.
Duties and Responsibilities
1)The person will be responsible for loading trailers with the correct product and the correct quantities in a timely manner.
2)Identifying breakages and report shortages .
3)Ensure that pallets are secured with shrink wrap for effective delivery to the designated areas.
4)Locating and moving stock of products to pallets.
5)Completing forms and handle documentation.
6)Ability to understand simple arithmetic's.
7)Pulling products off of production line and properly stock merchandise in the warehouse.
Qualifications and Experience
-The person should have a minimum of three years experience working in a warehouse operating forklifts or other industrial machinery.
-A valid certificate of competence in operating a forklift.
-The person should have good practical skills.
-Good communication skills.
-Commitment to safety thus taking safety seriously.
-Flexibility, team work and reliability.
