Position: Fitter & Turner / Maintenance Fitter
LeVotre Private Limited is seeking a suitably qualified and experienced Fitter & Turner / Maintenance
Fitter to join our maintenance team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the
effective maintenance, repair, and reliable operation of plant and equipment, with a strong focus on fault
finding and preventative maintenance.
Duties and Responsibilities
Key Duties and Responsibilities
• Interpret engineering diagrams, drawings, specifications, and maintenance plans to determine
correct materials, tolerances, and the appropriate sequence of operations.
• Perform mechanical maintenance, repairs, and component replacements on plant and equipment
to ensure optimal uptime and reliability.
• Conduct troubleshooting, fault diagnosis, and root-cause investigations on mechanical failures,
and implement corrective actions.
• Execute planned preventative maintenance activities in accordance with maintenance schedules
and safety standards.
• Operate with initiative and accountability within agreed responsibilities; proactively identify
issues and recommend improvements.
• Ensure all work is performed in compliance with company procedures, safety regulations, and
housekeeping standards.
Qualifications and Experience
Minimum Requirements
• National Certificate (relevant field).
• 5 ‘O’ Levels, including Mathematics and English.
• Completed apprenticeship and qualified with a Trade Test Class 1 Certificate (Fitter & Turner /
Maintenance Fitter).
• Minimum 3 years’ proven experience as a Maintenance Fitter / Fitter & Turner, preferably in a
mining environment.
• Strong fault-finding and maintenance background with practical hands-on capability.
• Willingness and flexibility to work long shifts, odd hours, and respond to breakdowns when
required.
