Job Description
The position requires the incumbent to be responsible to support the pumps and pivots mechanical operations by carrying out all related equipment and machinery installations, repairs/modifications and maintenance within the relative standards. To perform any other duties as assigned by the superiors.
Duties and Responsibilities
• Carry out routine pumps and pivots equipment and machinery maintenance checks as specified from the field department.
• Carry out scheduled/planned maintenance to Estate equipment and machinery.
• Repair, rebuild and overhauls major assemblies and installs equipment and machinery.
• Carryout equipment and machinery breakdowns.
• Directs and trains subordinates and trainees on all work activities.
Qualifications and Experience
• Apprentice trained Journeyman Fitter Machinist with 5years of which 2 year preferably in sugarcane estate working with irrigation pumps and pivots,
• Good communication and supervisory skills,
• Diagnostic and troubleshooting knowledge is required,
• A team player,
