Reporting to the Engineering Foreman the job is based at the Mine and is responsible for the following:
Summary of Duties:
• Carrying out scheduled and unscheduled maintenance in order to prevent breakdowns which affect production.
• Carrying out new installations and modifications fixed plants
• Carrying out daily inspection and routine checks on fixed plants
• Ensuring that breakdowns are resolved in shortest possible time
• Ensuring proper documentation is done for record keeping
• Interpreting drawing and machining of components as specified
• Completing job cards and maintenance sheets for job done and submitting these forms to the Planning for data capturing and filing.
Minimum Qualifications and Experience
• Five (5) 0' Level passes including Mathematics and Eng hsh.
• Apprentice trained Class 1 Fitter and Turner.
• At least 3 years post apprenticeship training in a mining, processing plant or heavy manufacturing environment.
• Sound knowledge of Safety. Health, Environmental and Quality Management Systems.
