Post C: Finance Officer Grade 9
Dual Reporting To The Town Board Administrator And Executive Officer Finance.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Undertaking both income and expenditure duties which include:
• Preparation of annual budget and final accounts.
• Preparation of monthly management accounts.
• Production of bank reconciliations statement.
• Preparation of cashbooks.
• Supervising cashiers.
• Creation and management of debtors and creditors data base.
• Advising the board on financial issues
• Spearheading and championing revenue collection
• Supervising (IGPS) income generating projects
• Any other duties assigned by the superior
PERSON SPECIFICATIONS
• A degree in Accounting or Finance from a recognized institution
• At least three years working experience in Accounting preferably in Local Authority would be an added advantage.
• Must be a member of a recognized professional board
• Knowledge of Pastel Accounting Package is a must
• Relevant experience and possession of a clean Class 4 driver’s license are distinct advantages
• Be able to work under minimum supervision
• A clean record of service within the Local Government fraternity without any previous conviction.
• A clean criminal record supported with police cleared fingerprints
