TREASURY DEPARTMENT JOB PROFILE
JOB TITLE: FINANCE MANAGER
DUTY STATION: HEAD OFFICE
We are seeking an experienced and qualified Finance Manager to join our team.
1. Purpose of the Job:
The Finance Manager reports directly to the AFM in Zimbabwe Treasurer General and leads all financial and administrative functions of the church. These functions entail managing and supervising teams working in the finance and administrative functions of the church. The position also includes the safeguarding of church assets and overseeing the preparation of financial reports and plans.

Duties and Responsibilities

2. Key Performance Areas:
 Accounting and financial reporting.
 Development and review of accounting procedures in compliance with international
financial reporting standards (IFRSs).
 Development and implementation of effective administrative and financial internal
controls.
 Ensuring compliance with statutory requirements.
 Providing the office of the Treasurer General with sufficient information for decision
making.
3 Core Activities and Job Responsibilities:
 Develop and implement financial and administration strategies which help the attainment
of organizational objectives.
 Prepare and manage annual budgets, forecasts, and financial reports
 Oversee financial planning, analysis, assets and risk management
 Manage and maintain sound relationships with banks, auditors, and other financial
stakeholders
 Ensure financial and administrative coordination between Head Office, Provincial
Offices and other functional units of the Church.
 Manage all aspects of the finance function including general ledger, fixed assets,
accounts payable, accounts receivable, petty cash and bank reconciliations.
 Ensure compliance with financial and administrative regulations and laws
 Supervise and provide support to finance staff.
 Liaises with internal and external auditors in resolving audit issues.
 Prepare or review draft financial statements in preparation for annual audits.
 Review and track financial performance.
 Any other duties as may be assigned from time to time.

Qualifications and Experience

4 Position Requirements: Knowledge, Qualifications and Experience
Qualifications:
 Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or equivalent qualification.
 A recognized professional qualification such as ACCA, CIS or CIMA.
 A Master’s Degree will be an added advantage
Experience:
 At least five years’ experience in a similar role.
