Reporting to the Finance and Administration Director, the incumbent will be responsible for the day-to-day running of the finance and administration function and implementing the strategy and direction for the function.
• Developing and drive the implementation of the Corporation’s financial strategy for growth and profitability.
• Leading the annual budgeting process to produce relevant and sound financial assumptions and financial budgets and quarterly forecasts.
• Preparation of timely and accurate management reports and rolling financial monthly forecasts.
• Preparing the Corporation’s annual financial statements and Annual Reports.
• Developing and implementing effective internal control systems that maintain proper records, audit trail and afford adequate accounting controls and services.
• Providing regular, accurate, sound and timely financial information to the Finance and Administration Director and the Senior Management and Leadership Team to in support decision making.
• Scanning the market and leading in the development of innovative strategies to mobilise resources and manage cash flows.
• Leading the coordination of the revenue assurance activities of the Corporation.
• Providing responsibility for the efficient functioning of the Corporation’s administration function and proper management of assets.
• Drawing up financial policies for the Corporation that govern financial matters in the organization and ensure understanding by relevant departments.
• Monitoring adherence to set policies, procedures, and good corporate governance by all departments to ensure compliance and best practice.
• Effective leadership and supervision of direct reports in the finance and administration department to ensure achievement of desired outcomes.
• Must be a holder of a degree in Accountancy/Finance.
• Full membership of professional qualification such as ACCA/CA/CFA/CIMA.
• Experience managing the annual audit and preparing annual financial statements in compliance with International Financial Reporting Standards.
• At least 5 years relevant work experience at management level.
