FINANCE INTERN
SMEDCO is offering an exciting 12-month Finance Internship to provide undergraduate students with practical work-related learning and exposure in accounting and financial operations. The successful candidate will support the Finance Department in day-to-day activities and gain hands-on experience in a dynamic corporate environment.
Duties and Responsibilities
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
The Finance Intern will be responsible for supporting the following functions under supervision:
* Processing and filing of payments.
* Accounts Payable reconciliations and vendor statement reconciliations.
* Cashbook reconciliations and bank reconciliations.
* Preparation of loan disbursement documentation.
* Filing and record management of financial documents.
* Assisting with any other duties as assigned by the Finance Supervisor.
Qualifications and Experience
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Applicants must meet the following minimum requirements:
* Be currently pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance, or any relevant field.
* Have a basic understanding of accounting principles and financial processes.
* Possess strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills.
* Be proficient in MS Office, especially Excel.
* Have a valid university work-related learning approval letter.
