Job Description

The mission of this position is to assist students enrolled in tertiary education to undergo at least eight to twelve months of work related learning with the SOS CV Bindura Location Finance team.

Duties and Responsibilities

The Intern will be trained and recieve support to be able to successfully:
Provide summary reports of the business transactions to facilitate preparation of Financial Statements;
Maintain complete files of financial documents;
Ensure accurate and complete records of financial transactions;
Provide support during audits by internal and external auditors;
Facilitate submission of procurement documents to procurement office and distributes proof of payment;
Process payments and banking timeously;
Update the inventory and assets registers;
Ensure compliance with systems of internal control in all facilities in the location.

Qualifications and Experience

Enrolled and studying towards a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Business Studies or similar;
Has been approved by respective college to commence work related learning evidenced by singed and stamped letter from the institution;
Intermediate appreciation of Microsoft Excel is a MUST;
Knowledge of computerized accounting packages will be an added advantage
