JOB TITLE : Finance and Administration Officer
REPORTS TO : Managing Director
JOB SUMMARY
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Finance and Administration Officer to join
our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the financial and
administrative functions of the company, including financial reporting, budgeting, accounts
payable and receivable, and administrative support.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Financial Management:
Prepare and manage the company's financial statements, including balance sheets,
income statements, and cash flow statements.
Develop and implement financial policies and procedures.
Manage the company's budgeting process.
2. Accounts Payable and Receivable:
Manage the company's accounts payable and receivable functions, including invoicing,
payments, and credit control.
Ensure that all financial transactions are accurately recorded and reported.
3. Administrative Support:
Provide administrative support to the Managing Director and other staff members.
Manage the company's filing system, both physical and electronic.
Coordinate travel arrangements and accommodation for staff members.
4. Compliance:
Ensure that the company is compliant with all relevant laws and regulations, including
tax laws and employment laws.
Manage the company's relationships with external auditors and other regulatory bodies.
5. Reporting:
Prepare and submit regular financial reports to the Managing Director and other
stakeholders.
Provide financial analysis and recommendations to support business decisions
REQUIREMENTS
1. Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
2. Experience: At least 3 years of experience in a finance and admin role, preferably in a
manufacturing or construction industry.
3. Skills:
Strong financial management and accounting skills.
Excellent administrative and organisational skills.
Ability to work accurately and efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Proficiency in accounting software, such as QuickBooks or SAP.
4. Certifications: Certification in accounting or finance, such as ACCA or CIMA, is an
asset.
WORKING CONDITIONS
Work Environment: The Finance and Administration Officer will work in a fast-paced
office environment.
Physical Demands: The Finance and Administration Officer will be required to sit for
long periods and use a computer for extended periods.
Work Schedule: The Finance and Administration Officer will work a standard 45-hour
workweek, with occasional overtime required to meet deadlines or prepare for audits.
