Duties and Responsibilities
Responsibilities :
• overseeing the day-day operations of a livestock farm including breeding, rearing and maintenance
• managing health of livestock, making sure they have access to quality nutrition and controlling diseases
• keeping records of livestock production and storage and maintaining livestock records
• scheduling and supervising staff and managing labour
• buying supplies and equipment such as feed and sanitisation chemicals
• inspecting facilities and equipment to ensure compliance with sanitisation standards
Qualifications and Experience
• candidate requirements
• Diploma or any certificate in agriculture/animal production
• at least 4 years of experience in the field
• must be conversant with beef fattening, pig breeding and poultry production
