Job Description
JOB SUMMARY
Dalkeith Engineering is seeking an experienced External Sales Representative to drive business growth and expand our client base. The ideal candidate must have proven knowledge and skill in the Electronic Government Procurement System (EGP). This role is field-based and requires regular client visits, prospecting, and closing sales within the Maintenance and Vehicle Repair industry.
Duties and Responsibilities
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Source, develop and maintain new and existing client relationships.
2. Conduct cold calling, client visits and presentations to promote company products and services.
3. Close sales, meet monthly targets and prepare sales reports.
4. Prospect for new business opportunities within the Maintenance and Vehicle Repair sector.
5. Use CRM systems or other sales tracking tools to manage leads, follow-ups and customer records.
6. Register and manage company bids/tenders on the Electronic Government Procurement System (EGP). EGP knowledge is a must.
7. Provide market feedback, competitor analysis and sales forecasts to Management.
8. Represent the company professionally at exhibitions, trade shows and client meetings.
9. Ensure excellent after-sales service and customer retention.
Qualifications and Experience
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
1. Degree or Diploma in Sales, Marketing, Business Studies or a related field.
2. Minimum of 5 years work experience in a garage or workshop setup, preferably within the Maintenance and Vehicle Repair industry.
3. Proven knowledge and hands-on experience using the Electronic Government Procurement System (EGP) – compulsory.
4. Experience using CRM software or similar sales management tools will be an advantage.
5. Valid and clean Class 4 driver’s license – compulsory.
6. Self-motivated, target-driven and able to work independently.
7. Excellent communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills.
