Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced panel beater to join our team. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of experience. Responsibilities include assessing damage, removing and replacing damaged parts, straightening bent metal frames, welding, sanding and refinishing surfaces, and ensuring that the repaired vehicle meets industry standards. A certificate or diploma is preferred, along with the ability to work efficiently and effectively in a fast-paced environment and strong attention to detail. Duties and Responsibilities

-Assess damage to vehicles and determine the necessary repairs
-Remove and replace damaged parts, such as fenders, doors, and panels
-Straighten bent metal frames and chassis components
-Weld and grind repairs
-Sand and refinish repaired surfaces
-Keep accurate records of all repairs and materials used
-Ensure that the repaired vehicle meets the manufacturer's specifications and industry standards
-Maintain a safe and organized work environment
-Collaborate with other technicians and mechanics to ensure timely completion of repairs
-Maintain tools and equipment in good condition
-Stay current with industry developments and advancements in repair techniques
-Comply with all safety regulations and guidelines.

Qualifications and Experience

-A minimum of 5 years of experience as a panel beater
-Certificate or diploma in auto body repair
-Strong understanding of vehicle construction and repair techniques
-Ability to use hand and power tools
-Knowledge of welding, grinding, and sanding techniques
-Ability to work efficiently and effectively in a fast-paced environment
-Excellent attention to detail
-Strong problem-solving skills and manual dexterity
-Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
-Good communication skills
-Ability to keep accurate records and maintain tools and equipment
-Familiarity with industry regulations and safety guidelines
-Willingness to stay current with industry advancements and repair techniques.
-Prior experience in a busy auto body repair shop is preferred.

The ideal candidate should be passionate about repairing vehicles and take pride in their work. They should be able to work with minimal -supervision and be able to produce high-quality repairs in a timely manner.
