Organizational Overview
A leading faith-based not-for-profit organization, committed to delivering high-impact health
services to underserved communities, and supported by international donors, government, and
multisectoral partners, is seeking to fill the position of Executive Director. Operating nationally
with expanding regional and global networks. Our mission is grounded in compassion, service, and
faith-driven development.
Position Summary
The Executive Director will provide visionary leadership, strategic direction, and operational
oversight of the organization. The role requires a dynamic and emotionally intelligent leader with
proven experience in managing donor-funded health programs, government relations, and multi-
disciplinary teams.
Key to this role is ensuring financial sustainability through diversified resource mobilization—
including donor funding, domestic financing, private sector partnerships, and philanthropic
engagement—in response to the growing risk of foreign aid reductions.

Duties and Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities
• Lead strategic planning, governance, and execution of the organization’s
mission.
• Represent the organization to donors, government, networks, and partners at national
and international levels.
• Drive resource mobilization across donor, domestic, philanthropic, and private sectors.
• Foster a high-performance culture and manage a diverse, professional team with
integrity and care.
• Oversee financial management, compliance, and risk mitigation systems.
• Promote quality, innovation, and accountability in health service delivery.
• Sustain partnerships with local, regional, and international actors to expand impact.
• Facilitate the smooth running of the faith health facilities across Zimbabwe

Qualifications and Experience

Qualifications
• Master’s degree in Health Sciences, Public Health, Business Administration, or related
field.
• Minimum 10 years of senior leadership experience, preferably in health-focused, donor-
funded NGOs.
• Proven ability to fundraise, manage donor relationships, and mobilize
domestic/private resources.
• Deep understanding of donor compliance
• Fluent in English and at least one or two local languages.
• Excellent communication, writing, and public speaking skills.
• Strong emotional intelligence, financial acumen, and cultural sensitivity.
• Deep knowledge of the Zimbabwe Health Sector
