Job Description
We are looking for an experienced Executive Chef to prepare a variety of dishes matched by your creativity to develop new amazing tastes and recipes and manage a very busy kitchen .
The ideal candidate will be well-versed in culinary arts and delicious creations. They must adhere to health and safety standards to provide clients with the best possible serving.
The goal is to enhance customer satisfaction so that we can maintain and expand our clientele.
Duties and Responsibilities
• Ensure daily preparations are done
• Check on all menu items and relevant items that follow each recipe
• Check on any items that may be low in quantities and the subsequent ordering of such items
• Make sure that the chefs and kitchen porters are doing their jobs correctly
• Ensure that daily stock takes are done
• In conjunction with the executive chef, do the duty roster for entire staff
• Ensure the correct usage of kitchen equipment and the cleanliness of such equipment
• Report any incident in the kitchen
• Follow the cleaning schedule
• Listen to complaints and try to solve them quickly, informs the manager even if the problem has been solved
• Communication and teamwork are very important.
• To compile menus and recipes
• To supervise the kitchen, particularly at service time
• To taste all food before they are prepared and sent to customers.
• Maintain a lean and orderly cooking station and adhere to health and safety standards
Qualifications and Experience
• Proven experience as Head Chef or relevant role
• Great attention to detail and creativity
• Organizing and leadership skills
• Willingness to replenish professional knowledge
• In depth knowledge of sanitation principles, food preparation and baking techniques and nutrition
• Working knowledge of baking with ingredient limitations (pastries that are gluten free, sugarless etc.)
• Certificate in culinary arts, or relevant field
