Job Description

Our client, a well-established financial institution and market leader in its field, is looking for a goal oriented and exceedingly well organised individual who can demonstrate accountability, initiative, creativity and focus, in a rapidly changing and intellectually stimulating environment. To fill the above position, applications from suitably qualified and experienced candidates, are invited.

Duties and Responsibilities

•Support the office of the CEO, and work to ensure that the CEO receives the highest level of operational and strategic support possible
• Provide a broad variety of high-level administrative support services to the CEO
• Anticipate the executives’ needs and proactively bring together appropriate people and resources to support the underlying matters
• Research, prioritise and follow-up on incoming issues and concerns addressed to the CEO, including those of a confidential and sensitive nature
• Co-ordinate all facets of meetings from planning, catering, setting up meeting room etc
• Create, at times from research and inception, professional business presentations on behalf of the CEO
• Interact closely with all internal staff, management and senior staff and externally including board members, key clients, government and senior business leaders
• Organise and co-ordinate executive outreach and external relations efforts and oversee special projects
• Prioritise conflicting needs, handle matters expeditiously and proactively and follow through on projects to successful completion – often with deadline pressures
• Conduct research, assemble and analyse data to prepare reports and documents
• Complete critical aspects of deliverables and special assignments by establishing objectives; determining priorities; managing time; gaining cooperation of others; monitoring progress; problem solving; and making adjustments to plans

Qualifications and Experience

• Minimum of a Bachelors Degree, an MBA will be an added advantage
• 5 years plus of professional experience, preferably at management level or higher
• Excellent verbal with superior writing and report presentation skills essential
• High level of professionalism with demonstrated ability to handle confidential information
• Strong organisational skills that reflect the ability to perform and prioritise multiple tasks seamlessly with excellent attention to detail
• Advanced PC skills in Microsoft Office, including Word, PowerPoint, Excel and technologically proficient
• Creative thinker who enjoys working within an entrepreneurial environment that is mission-driven, results-driven, and community oriented
