Environmental Technician
Duties and Responsibilities
). KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Advises Council on environmental issues through the Head of Department
• Preparation of Environmental Impact Assessment (EIAs)
• Preparation of Local Environmental Plan (LEAPs)
• Preparation of Environmental by laws
• Any other duties as assigned by the Head of Department
Qualifications and Experience
(1). QUALIFICATIONS
• Degree/Diploma in Geography and Environmental Science, Natural Resources Conservation and Wildlife Management, Environmental Management, Developmental Studies or any related qualification.
(2). ATTRIBUTES
In addition to the above basic qualifications the ideal candidate should also have the following:
• Good communication skills at all levels
• Ability to solve land disputes
• In depth knowledge of CAMPFIRE
• In depth knowledge of EIAs and LEAPS
