Job Description
Applications are invited from suitably qualified and experienced candidates to fill in the above vacant position.
To prevent the occurrence and control the spread of communicable diseases n the community through enforcement of relevant legislation. dissemination of health information and supervision of subordinates.
Duties and Responsibilities
Inspection of premises in terms of municipal bylaws and legisla¬tion
Licensing of business premises
Monitoring of air pollution and food and water sampling activities
Attending to complaints of public health significance
Health Information dissemination
Investigation of Infectious disease
Supervision of junior staff
Qualifications and Experience
Degree in Environmental Health
At least 2 years experience in Environmental Health
Must be registered with the Environmental Health Practitioners Council
Current Practicing Certificate
Must be computer literate
Drivers licence is an added advantage
