Job Description
The main purpose of the job is to design, develop, coordinate, maintain, enforce and communicates the overall Econet Wireless scalable Enterprise data architectures that enable the delivery of high-quality modern products and services and ensures alignment with business strategies and drivers. The incumbent will align with Enterprise transformational journeys by balancing the Strategic Enterprise objectives with operational constraints
Duties and Responsibilities
Designs the target state enterprise data architecture as per the enterprise strategy and facilitates the establishment and execution of the roadmaps and vision for enterprise information delivery and management Performs Data Architectural reviews of projects introducing new applications or changing existing applications in order to identify, capture and integrate the newly required or newly available information. Designs data flows and processing pipelines for ingestion and analysis (on Premises or Cloud) using contemporary tools.Ensures adoption of the configured target state Enterprise Data architecture, updates and document all transitional architectures Researches-on data management trends and standards and recommend for adoption Leads data architects, data engineers and Data Governance specialist to architect and deliver solutions in line with the enterprise data architecture standards and frameworks. Engage business leaders and relevant key stakeholders to identify and or propose high value opportunities to improve Econet’s data in support of key business objectives. Collaborates and coordinates multiple departments, stakeholders, partners, and external vendors on enterprise data architecture issues. Facilitates trainings and/or awareness presentations on guiding principles for best data management practices and standards to ensure adoption and alignment. Ensure that the enterprise data architecture adheres to security policies in liaison with Business Risk and Sustainable Development Goals.
Qualifications and Experience
6 O Levels Including Mathematics, Science and English.2 A Level passes Degree in Computer Science, Software/Computer Engineering, Big Data Analytics, Applied Mathematics/ Statistics, Physics, Engineering, or any other technology related field equivalent A Master’s Degree or Enterprise Data Architect certification i.e. TOGAF will be an added advantage4 – 6 years of experience in IT, with a minimum of 2 years in information systems design and Data engineering
