Applications are invited from suitably qualified and experienced candidates with proper credentials to fill the vacancy of Engineering Manager that has arisen in a Manufacturing organization.
Job Summary: Directly reporting to the General Manager, the Engineering Manager shall be responsible for overseeing formulation and implementation of policies, procedures, budgets, and maintenance plans necessary to ensure optimal performance, reliability and safety of machinery, utilities and infrastructure.
Duties and Responsibilities

• Budgeting and costing for the Engineering department,
• Establish administrative policies, procedures, and standards for production plants maintenance,
• Supervise effective installation, repair and maintenance of all production machines,
• Preventative and corrective maintenance,
• Plan and oversee new equipment installations, modifications and plant expansion projects,
• Manage machine downtime,
• Manage operation and maintenance of plant utilities i.e. power, water, compressed air and boilers,
• Manage spare parts inventory and ensure critical spares availability,
• Manage performance of Engineering technicians,
• Projects management,
• Periodic reporting of projects status, machine downtime, etc.,
• Enforce compliance with regulatory requirements,
• Capacity building for all engineering personnel,
• Enforce adherence to safety standards in all maintenance activities,
Qualifications and Experience
Qualifications, Experience & Core Competencies:
• Bachelors’ Degree in Industrial, Mechanical Engineering or equivalent,
• Minimum 10 years’ experience in manufacturing, maintenance or engineering management or related industry required,
• Proven track record in managing projects and budgets,
• Registration with Engineering Council of Zimbabwe (ECZ) or Zimbabwe Institute of Engineers will be an added advantage,
• Strong leadership and team management skills,
• Sound technical knowledge of manufacturing equipment and utilities,
• High level of integrity, initiative and attention to detail.
