Electronic and Fire Systems Technician

Unidev Engineering (Pvt) Ltd is a growing engineering company specialising in Fire Protection Systems, Electronic Security and ICT accessories.

We are looking for a technically competent and motivated Electronic and Fire Systems Technician to join our team.

Duties and Responsibilities

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
The successful candidate will be responsible for the installation, commissioning, maintenance and fault finding of:

Fire Safety Systems

• Addressable Fire alarm and fire detection systems
• Conventional Fire alarm systems
• Fire extinguishers and fire safety equipment
• Hose reel and fire hydrant systems
• Basic fire suppression systems
Electronic Security Systems

• Analog and IP CCTV systems
• Access control and biometric systems
• Intruder alarm systems
• Electric locks and related security equipment
• Boom gates and associated control systems
Additional Technical Responsibilities

• Structured cabling and basic network configuration
• System testing and commissioning
• Preventive and corrective maintenance
• Fault diagnosis and rectification
• Preparation of service and installation reports
• Conducting site inspections and identifying technical requirements
• Providing technical support to clients
• Ensuring installations comply with applicable standards and manufacturer requirements

Qualifications and Experience

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
The ideal candidate should have:

• A Diploma or Certificate in Electronic Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Information Technology, Fire safety or a related technical field.
• Experience in fire alarm, CCTV, electronic security or related systems is an added advantage.
• Demonstrable hands-on experience in installation and fault finding.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and wiring diagrams.
• Good communication and report-writing skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a technical team.
• Experience in use of AutoCAD
• A valid driver’s licence will be an added advantage.
