Job Description
The position requires the one to install, repair, and maintain electrical apparatuses under the Electrical Department. Also to perform any other duties as assigned by the superiors.
Duties and Responsibilities
• Installing, maintaining and repairing electrical circuits and lighting systems.
• Inspecting, testing and diagnosing faults in electrical systems and components.
• Performing general maintenance and checks on electric motors.
• Inspecting transformers, circuit breakers and other electrical components.
• Troubleshooting electrical faults using appropriate testing equipment and devices.
• Repairing and replacing faulty electrical equipment and components.
• Performing preventive maintenance on electrical systems and components.
• Coordinating and ensuring compliance with applicable statutes, regulations and safety requirements.
Qualifications and Experience
• Class One Journeyman Trade Test Certificate.
• At least 2 years of post-Class One working experience.
• National Diploma in Electrical Power Engineering is an added advantage.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
• Hardworking, proactive and self-motivated.
