ELECTRICIAN (1 POST)
• Carrying out electrical installations, repairs and maintenance in buildings.
• Estimating electrical materials for construction sites and maintenance.
• Installing electrical apparatus.
• Maintaining equipment in a condition that does not compromise safety.
• Test and inspect electrical systems for compliance with safety regulations.
• Report broken or malfunctioning equipment and any unusual circumstances to maintenance.
• Troubleshooting electrical issues using appropriate testing devices.
• Install and maintain lighting systems, security systems and other electrical systems.
• Circuit breaker corrective maintenance.
• Learn the fire and safety procedures and how to operate the fire fighting equipment.
• Adhering to and ensuring adherences to safety, health and environment regulations and standards.
• Carry out any other official duties that may be assigned from time to time.
• Electrician Class One (1) Journeyman Certificate is a must have.
• A National Certificate in Electrical Power.
• A minimum of Five Ordinary Level passes including English and Mathematics.
• At least 2 years’ experience in construction projects or University setup.
Six (6) copies of the following: application letter, certified copies of educational certificates, National ID, Birth Certificate and CVs giving full personal details including full name, place and date of birth, qualifications, previous employment and experience, present salary, date of availability, telephone number, email address, names and addresses of three referees including email addresses. Evidence of membership of a professional association (where applicable) should also be attached.
