Job Description
Applications are invited from suitably qualified, experienced, self-motivated and task-oriented
individuals to fill the above positions that have arisen within the Engineering and Technical
Services Department.
Duties and Responsibilities
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The incumbent will be reporting to the Principal Installation & Maintenance and will be responsible for the following:
➢ Participation in the design and implementation of electrical projects
➢ Participate in the appraisal of electrical infrastructure designs submitted by developers
and other clients
➢ Maintenance of all council public lighting infrastructure and traffic lights
➢ Maintenance of all Council and rented premises.
➢ Supervision of subordinates
Qualifications and Experience
THE PERSON SPECIFICATION
➢ At least a national diploma in electrical engineering or equivalent from a ZimCHE
recognized institution
➢ Registered with the Engineering Council of Zimbabwe (ECZ) or at least with the
Zimbabwe Institution of Engineers (ZIE)
➢ At least three (3) years post registration working experience
➢ 5 ‘0’ Levels including Mathematics and English
➢ Clean class four driver’s licence

➢ Proficiency in electrical design softwares
➢ Ability to communicate effectively
➢ Ability to work effectively, both independently and within a team
➢ Ability to handle pressure and work with minimum supervision
