Zimbabwe AIDS Preventing Project (ZAPP) is inviting suitably qualified persons to work as Departmental Assistants for an Orphans and Vulnerable Children (OVC) Project in Chivi & Gutu Districts in the following disciplines:
Economic Strengthening & Education Assistants x2
Reporting to Program Officer
The Economic Strengthening and Education Assistant will assist in the implementation of all economic strengthening and education interventions to offer high-impact, scalable, and sustainable interventions.
Main Responsibilities
• To assist in mentoring, supervising and providing technical support in the implementation of all livelihood’s activities
• To assist in all livelihoods and education trainings/meetings of caregivers and PSS teachers
• To ensure education OVC beneficiaries’ enrolment, tracking retention and progression through working closely with MoPSE
• To conduct case management to children and caregivers enrolled in the project
• To compile work plans, weekly, monthly and quarterly reports
• Any other lawful duties assigned by the supervisor
Qualifications and Competences
• Bachelor’s Degree in Agriculture, Development Studies, or Social Sciences
• Aged 30 years and below
• At least 1 year experience working with sustainable livelihoods projects or a USAID funded OVC project will be an added advantage
