Reporting to the District Finance Officer, the Driver/Admin Assistant will be responsible for managing the project’s fleet of vehicles and motorbikes, ensuring their proper maintenance and service scheduling. This role will also handle logistical and administrative tasks, including preparing schedules, managing payments for community cadres, delivering project resources, and calculating mileage schedules for project districts.
• Oversee the maintenance and servicing of project vehicles and motorbikes.
• Develop and implement a service schedule to ensure all vehicles and motorbikes are in good working condition.
• Drive BZ staff and visitors within project districts during their field assignments and other authorized destinations.
• Maintain accurate records of vehicle and motorbike usage, maintenance, and repairs.
• Develop district specific mileages schedules based on project health facilities
• Ensure the basic maintenance checks (oil, water, windscreen washers, and tyres) are routinely carried out daily.
• Inspect and ensure that all vehicles are equipped with first aid kits, spare tyres, and fire extinguishers always.
• Inspects and ensures that all vehicles have functioning security systems.
• Prepare logistical and administrative schedules to support project activities in project districts
• Prepare monthly fleet management reports for management decision-making.
• Coordinate the delivery of fuel to vehicles and motorbikes in districts
• Manage payments for community cadres, ensuring timely and accurate processing.
• Track, calculate and record mileage for all project vehicles and motorbikes.
• Coordinate with project staff to ensure resources are delivered according to project needs.
• Assist with general administrative tasks as needed to support project operations.
• Maintain organized records and documentation related to fleet management and logistical support.
• At least 5 ‘O’ Levels plus a valid and clean Class 4 Driver’s License and valid Defensive Driving Certificate.
• A qualification in transport and logistics or related filed is a must
• Five years of professional work experience in a similar environment
• Strong planning and administrative skills.
• Computer literacy
• Good communication and teamwork skills.

• Ability to communicate fluently in English and Shona or Ndebele.
