Job Description

The Driver will be responsible for the safe, timely, and professional transportation of company personnel and equipment. The incumbent will support field operations and administrative functions by ensuring all vehicles are maintained to the highest standard and that all journeys are conducted in strict compliance with road traffic laws and company policies.

Duties and Responsibilities

•Safely transport company staff, clients, and materials to designated locations.
•Conduct daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and report any defects promptly.
•Maintain accurate vehicle logbooks, mileage records, and fuel usage reports.
•Ensure the vehicle is clean, roadworthy, and properly serviced at all times.
•Adhere strictly to all traffic regulations and company driving policies.
•Assist in the loading and offloading of equipment and materials where required.
•Respond promptly and professionally to all transport requests from management.
•Report any accidents, incidents, or near-misses immediately to the supervisor.
•Maintain confidentiality of all company and client information encountered during duties.

Qualifications and Experience

Educational Requirements
•Minimum of 5 Ordinary Level (O-Level) passes, including English Language.
•A clean and verifiable criminal record.
•Valid Class 4 Driver’s Licence (minimum requirement).
•Defensive Driving Certificate.
•Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.

Professional Qualifications & Experience
•Class 4 Driver’s Licence (Class 2/3 licence will be an added advantage).
•Valid Defensive Driving Certificate.
•At least two (2) years of proven driving experience, preferably in a corporate or security environment.
•Knowledge of Harare road networks and surrounding areas is essential.
•Experience operating light and medium commercial vehicles is an advantage.
