The incumbent reports to the Chief Draughtsman.
Duties and Responsibilities
Summary of Key Functions of the Job
• Production of working drawings using CAD software that include AutoCAD.
• Production of schematics, layouts and detailed engineering drawings for construction /manufacture and plant modifications including their BOQs.
• Ensuring final designs are compliant building regulations and all other relevant construction regulations and codes.
• Identifying and communicating potential design problems to the of the team.
• Filling of all drawings and plant manuals in accordance with filling system.
• Maintenance and update of drawings database.
• Check and verify that project project drawings conform to specifications design data
Qualifications and Experience
Qualifications & Experience
• 5.0' Level subjects including English, Mathematics and Science;
• Must be a holder of National Diploma in Mechanical Draughting and Design Technology or Structural Engineering Diploma or equivalent.
• Must have at least 5 yrs. experience in heavy industry.
• Experience in Projects design up to commissioning.
• Good knowledge of geometrical tolerancing.
• Good knowledge of 3D modeling is an added advantage.
• Ability to work as a team and independently.
• Must have knowledge of ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 management systems
