Job Description

Bantwana Zimbabwe (BZ) seeks an experienced candidate for the role of District Field Associate for a new USAID-funded initiative focused on SUPPORT TB. The project aims to strengthen community resilience and health systems to identify and support individuals with TB, ensuring they receive the necessary care and improving overall health outcomes. Bantwana Zimbabwe is a leader in the development of high quality, comprehensive OVC service delivery in high HIV prevalence districts in Zimbabwe. Bantwana Zimbabwe brings a significant track record of excellence and innovation in improving access to and quality of integrated OVC care and support, with a particular focus on strengthening coordination and layering of care, protection, and support services across the HIV continuum of response, for vulnerable children and their caregivers at community, district, provincial and national levels.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Support the district SUPPORT TB Activity planning, review, implementation, engagements and reporting.
• In collaboration with the District Motorised Field Officer, coordinate community platform TB activities including mobilisation, referrals, follow-up and linkages with the health facilities.
• Collaborate with district health staff and build the capacity of community cadres on data quality, data collection process and relevant digital tools like DHIS2 Tracker.
• Conduct regular field visits to monitor SUPPORT TB progress against implementation plans and service level targets.
• Maintain databases and tools for collecting, storing and managing project data.
• Support the Stamp strategy, data collection, data cleaning and Data Audits and other quality improvement initiatives within the district.
• Analyze data to identify trends, hotspots, and insights that can inform the SUPPORT TB learning agenda, and overall project strategies.
• Solicit regular feedback from the communities and health facilities on the SUPPORT TB activities through One Impact and other mechanisms.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual reports and presentations on project progress and outcomes.
• Participate in the review and updating of the organizational Performance Monitoring Plan.

Qualifications and Experience

• Degree in Monitoring and Evaluation, Public Health, Environmental Health or a related field.
• At least two years’ experience in Monitoring and Evaluation, community and health facilities linkages preferably in TB, HIV/AIDS or other infectious disease projects.
• Proficiency in using digital data collection and analysis tools (e.g., DHIS2, ODK).
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Familiarity with the local health system, local government structures, private sector linkages, and TB control strategies is an advantage.
