Applications are invited from suitably qualified and experienced candidates to fill the following positions that have arisen in the Health Services Directorate in the University of Zimbabwe:
Duties and Responsibilities
Ÿ Supervision of staff: ensuring that they carry out their duties and activities properly, ethically and in a friendly manner.
Ÿ Ensuring that the clinic is managed efficiently and all professional staff are duly registered with the relevant professional bodies.
Ÿ Ensuring that relevant clinic Licences are
renewed on time.
Ÿ Ensuring that he Clinic has adequate stock
levels of drugs.
Ÿ Ensuring the clinic and its environs are in a state of cleanliness.
Ÿ Maintenance and monitoring quality provision of high quality health care systems and facilities.
Ÿ Ensuring transparent and efficient allocation and dispensing of drugs in the clinic dispensary.
Ÿ Ensuring accurate records of all clinic clients presenting themselves to the clinic and monitoring the trend of clinical problems.
Ÿ Acting as a communication conduit between the
Nurses, Matron and the Director.
Ÿ Facilitate research and surveys on student
health problems and concerns.
Ÿ Participating and facilitating meetings and
workshops.
Ÿ Carryout any other duties assigned by the
Director assisting the matron in her duties.
Ÿ Registered Nurse (RGN) with midwifery with at least first degree.
Ÿ At least 10 years’ experience at managerial level or sister in charge or Matron level.
