Job Description
We are seeking a qualified and experienced Dental Therapist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing preventive and basic restorative dental care, promoting oral health, and ensuring a high standard of patient care.
Duties and Responsibilities
Conduct oral examinations and assess patients’ dental conditions
Perform scaling and polishing to maintain oral hygiene
Provide preventive treatments such as fluoride application and fissure sealants
Carry out basic restorative procedures including fillings
Extract primary (deciduous) teeth where necessary
Educate patients on proper oral hygiene and preventive care practices
Maintain accurate, up-to-date patient records and treatment notes
Ensure strict adherence to infection prevention and control protocols
Sterilize and maintain dental instruments and equipment
Monitor and manage dental stock levels and request supplies when needed
Assist the dentist with procedures when required
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations within the clinic
Provide compassionate, patient-centered care at all times
Qualifications and Experience
Diploma or Degree in Dental Therapy
Valid practicing certificate
Registered with the relevant regulatory body
Good communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work under minimal supervision
