PSI/Z seeks qualified, experienced, and hardworking candidate to fill in the position of Data Officer. This is a Part Time position.

Duties and Responsibilities

The incumbent will be responsible for the following duties:

• Analyses quantitative and qualitative research data
• Conducts periodic analysis of routine program data (e.g., HIV Testing, Family
Planning, DREAMS).
• Ensures that all program reportable data is cleaned and complete before analyses
• Appraises the research department of the most up to date qualitative and quantitative
research methods.
• Develops data collection templates using software such as Survey ToGo and or
Survey CTO
• Collects and interprets research and routine data and writes reports.
• Conducts routine data quality checks for both routine and research data
• Trains and conducts fieldwork supervision of data collectors.
• Prepares research documentation for IRB research ethical approvals
• Prepares and submits monthly research reports with support from the research
manager as required.
• Conducts data quality checks for weekly high frequency reports, ICT tracker, DATIM
narratives, quarterly indicators and Bahmni (FP, VMMC, HTS, ART & PrEP.

Qualifications and Experience

• Advanced degree in Public Health, Statistics, Demography, or any other relevant field.
A relevant Masters’ degree is added advantage.
• At least 2 years’ experience in programs data collection, capturing, analysis and
reporting with traceable references from a reputable well-established organization a
must.
• Ability to perform complex, detail-oriented research tasks and to work with
clients/subjects and colleagues as part of a research team.
• Familiarity with electronic data management systems especially Demographic Health
Information System (DHIS2) is an added advantage.
• Demonstrated advanced computer skills, and ability to conduct data analysis using
STATA
• Innovative and creative thinking ability, ability to work independently, efficiently and
quickly under pressure.
• Clean class 4 drivers license.
