Job Description

BACKGROUND
Mwenezi Development Training Centre [MDTC] is a community based organization operating in Mwenezi, Chiredzi and Beitbridge districts. MDTC implements diversified community development and humanitarian programmes which are funded by various funding partners. The organization has the following vacancies to implement a WFP funded programme (Lean Season Assistance) in Chiredzi and Mwenezi districts from October 2020 to April 2021. Therefore women and men with potential to be high performers are encouraged to apply for these challenging and exciting positions.

Reporting to M&E Officer

Duties and Responsibilities


Major Responsibilities
• Quality data entry and data cleaning.
• Ensure that all data entry into the SCOPE database has been done correctly and timeously.
• Adhere to weekly and monthly reporting deadlines as informed by the Field Supervisor
• Produce monthly distribution manifests efficiently in liaison with Field Monitors for all FDPs captured as per distribution plan and distribution list in time for the distributions throughout the LSA programme
• Update the SCOPE database on regular basis in the event of any changes arising in the field at any given time.
• Ensure safe keeping of the created SCOPE database.
• Download vouchers on Mobile point of sale machines (MPoS) before food distributions and synchronization of MPoS for the purpose of reconciliation of data at the end of each registration and distribution process.
• Compile all help desk, suggestion box and SCOPE related issues raised in the field in liaison with Field Officers and submit them timeously to the M&E Officer.

Qualifications and Experience

Knowledge and skills
• Excellent computer skills with experience in MS Word, MS Excel, PowerPoint and other computer software packages.
• Experience in working with WFP SCOPE database.
• Experience in working with Mwenezi Development Training Centre is an added advantage.
• Experience in cash/food distribution processes.

Education: Diploma in Computer Studies/Information Technology or other relevant plus a professional certification. First degree in social sciences or any other relevant degree will be an added advantage
Experience: Minimum 1 year of proven experience in working with WFP SCOPE database.
