EcoCashHoldings is looking for a competent, versatile, and dynamic Data Analyst to join the Finance team. The successful incumbent will be responsible for developing operational strategy for the Finance department to ensure that internal and external stakeholders of the Group receive accurate and timely financial information for decision making.
Data Analyst Job Description
Provides input in development of underlying processes and systems to facilitate ongoing improvement of the reconciliations reporting.Participates in the product development initiatives to identify the impact on reconciliations and provide recommendations on the data output requirements to facilitate an efficient reconciliation process for each new product.Ensures the proper back up and storage of records that are evidence of the performance of the reconciliations process.Provides auditors with information to conduct their tasks and attends to audit queries.Identifies areas of control weakness and makes recommendations to the Financial Controller.Reviews all bank reconciliations prepared by the respective reconciliation officers daily and submit a weekly report.Tracks the aging analysis of exception items daily and liaises with the respective department for resolution.Monitors the submission of reconciliations on the daily dashboard.Review and monitor submission of RBZ balances report.Validates the opening and closing balances on the Balance Sheet GL & PL accounts for the Month end against supporting reconciliations and documentation.
Proposes journal entries and ensure timely resolution to anomalies identified
Qualification, Skills and Experience
Degree in Accounting, Finance, Data Science or Equivalent
1-2 years experience in an analytical role
Interpersonal skills demonstrated by the ability to interact at all levels within the Organisation and with external parties
