Reporting to the Cybersecurity Specialist.
Key Job Purpose
To design, implement, configure and maintain cybersecurity controls, systems and infrastructure.
Duties and Responsibilities
Principal Job Responsibilities
1. Design security architecture and implement security controls such as firewalls, IDS/IPS, EDR, endpoint protection and access controls.
2. Harden systems and infrastructure through security baselines, patching and configuration best practices, while managing and optimising security tools.
3. Support vulnerability remediation and SOC incident response, and maintain identity, authentication and authorisation controls aligned to ISO 27001.
Qualifications and Experience
Qualifications and Experience
* Bachelor’s Degree in Information Security, Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Systems or Electronics and Telecommunications, or an equivalent qualification.
* Knowledge of security architecture design, defensive security and Blue Teaming, including Zero Trust Architecture, Defence in Depth and ISO 27001.
* Must possess a CCNA (or equivalent networking certification) and relevant firewall certifications. (ISC)² SSCP is an added advantage.
* Minimum of 3 years’ relevant working experience.
