Applications are invited from suitably qualified and experienced candidates to fill the following positions that have arisen in the Health Services Directorate in the University of Zimbabwe:
Ÿ Offers counselling on psychosocial issues to
students and staff on following issues:
- Adherence counselling
- Nutritional counselling
- Disclosure issues
- Those who default medicines
- Prevention of HIV
- Stress
Ÿ Building a relationship of trust and respect
clients, listening to clients concerns,
empathizing with them and helping them to
see things more clearly or in a different way.
Ÿ Administers Pre-test and Post-test counselling
for clients coming for HIV test.
Ÿ Does group information sharing with students
on health matters such as HIV/AIDS issues,
abstinence, menstrual hygiene, male hygiene
etc.
Ÿ Following up clients who test HIV positive for
further caring and support.
Ÿ Assist in the facilitation of Support Group.
Ÿ Participate in the health wellness awareness.
Ÿ Refer clients for further management to
appropriate service providers.
Ÿ Registered with the respective council
Ÿ Any other business assigned.
Ÿ At least a Diploma in counselling
Ÿ Degree in Counselling an added advantage
Ÿ Have at least 3 years’ experience
