The Logistics Coordinator is responsible for planning and optimizing outbound cement deliveries for the Southern Region, ensuring cost-efficiency through effective transport scheduling using the TMS system
Transport planning for all outbound cement loads for the Southern Region, ensuring efficiency and cost-effectiveness. (Using the TMS system to optimally schedule cement dispatches, assigning them to appropriate trips and vehicles.)
Source and manage third-party transport providers to execute outbound cement deliveries.
Optimise transport services to reduce costs.
Maintain essential master data elements in the TMS system, such as vehicles, delivery locations, restrictions, and turnaround times.
Outbound trip execution and trip tracking - Ensure that dispatches are delivered on time and all trips progress through all relevant stages in the TMS system, ultimately generating the appropriate financial transactions.
Reporting on various transport KPIs daily, weekly and monthly.
Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Statistics and Operations Research , or a related field.
