The University seeks to recruit applicants with requisite qualifications, skills and experience for the following post in the Catering Unit: -
COOK (2 POSTS)
Duties and Responsibilities
Checks the quality and prepares ingredients for cooking e. g chops and peels fruits and vegetables
Cooks food in various utensils
Keeps the kitchen environment sanitized and orderly
Ensures proper storage of food and other items
Monitors stock levels and report to Senior Cook
Serves meals
Qualifications and Experience
Applicants must possess 5 O’ Level passes including English Language plus a Certificate in Catering or Cookery and at least 2 years proven experience as a cook in a similar environment. Applicants should have experience in using different cooking utensils and equipment.
Skills, Knowledge and Abilities
Good communication skills
Good time management skills
Self-motivated
