Job Description
Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates for the position of Content Editor to join a dynamic team in a highly technical environment. Webdev (Pvt) Ltd is Zimbabwe’s leading web hosting, online marketing, e-commerce, online payments, and web development company, a multi-award-winning company, and a market leader. The main purpose of the job is to manage and produce all editorial content for property.co.zw, including the Blog, Real Estate Directory, and Real Estate Magazine. . This position will report to the Marketplaces Lead.
Duties and Responsibilities
-Plan and manage the editorial calendar for the blog, magazine, and directory.
-Create and edit engaging content, including news, guides, and market insights.
-Optimize content for SEO and monitor performance using analytics.
-Collaborate with SEO and analytics teams to identify high-impact topics.
-Lead creative direction for video content across social and editorial platforms.
-Ensure all content reflects the brand voice and quality standards.
-Work cross-functionally with marketing, design, data, and sales teams.
-Maintain compliance with legal, editorial, and brand guidelines.
Qualifications and Experience
-3+ years of professional experience in digital editorial, content marketing, or journalism (real estate or lifestyle background preferred).
-Strong writing and editing portfolio showcasing both news and long-form articles.
-Proven SEO knowledge — keyword research, on-page optimisation, and content refresh best practices.
-Experience conceptualising and producing video content for digital and social platforms.
-Skilled in CMS management and familiar with analytics dashboards.
-Strong command of English with an eye for clarity, storytelling, and brand tone.
-Ability to manage multiple projects, contributors, and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
-Exposure to magazine or print production workflows is an added advantage.
Skills and competencies
-CMS: WordPress or similar
-SEO & Analytics: Google Search Console, Google Analytics, SEMrush or Ahrefs
-Video Tools: Adobe Premiere Pro, CapCut, or Canva for short-form editing
-Collaboration: Google Workspace, Trello/Asana, Slack
-Design Support: Adobe InDesign, Figma, or Canva (for print & digital layouts)
