Job Description
Reporting to the Network Planning Manager, the incumbent will be charged with designing, managing and approving all GSM site construction projects.
Duties and Responsibilities
• Managing surveying of new sites, producing site visit reports and layout drawings, and carrying out geo-technical tests.
• Managing contractors to ensure efficient and effective meeting of roll-out targets.
• Designing of macro and micro GSM sites, producing bills of material for budget purposes.
• Preparing programs of work for use by contractors and conducting routine inspections to ensure adherence to program.
• Checking and approving contractors’ payment certificates upon satisfaction that work has been done per company specifications.
• Supervising junior staff, ensuring they perform to the required standard.
Qualifications and Experience
• Degree in Civil Engineering ore equivalent awarded by a reputable institution.
• Registered with the ZIE
• At least 2 years’ post qualification experience.
• Knowledge of Auto Cad design software
• Ms project planning and management
• Team player
• Good communication skills at all levels.
