Job Description

To work in the Projects department as a Civil Engineer/Construction Manager being guided by the responsibilities and duties as stipulated below.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Planning, organizing, directing, controlling and evaluating construction projects from start to finish according to schedule,
specifications and budget
• Planning and preparing construction schedules and milestones, and monitoring progress against established schedules
• Oversee all onsite and offsite constructions to monitor compliance with building and safety regulations
• Coordinate and direct construction workers and subcontractors
• Select tools, materials and equipment, and track inventory
• Meet contractual conditions of performance
• Review the work progress on a daily basis
• Prepare internal and external reports pertaining to job status
• Analyze, manage and mitigate risks
• Ensure quality construction standards and the use of proper construction techniques
• Ensuring Health and Safety Requirements are met on site.
• Clean class 4 Drivers license.

Qualifications and Experience

• A Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering
• A minimum of four years’ experience in civil engineering and building
• Excellent knowledge of construction materials and equipment
• Highly organized
• Knowledge of MS Office Suite
• Previous work experience in construction management or another similar role
• Understanding of construction management process
• Able to plan ahead
• Excellent time management ability
• Able to multitask
• Clean class 4 Drivers license.
